Oxygen and Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers

One of the most basic elements keeping us alive is the air that we breathe in.  Of the five basic elements of life, oxygen is the mot vital.  If the supply oxygen were cut off, we would die in a matter of minutes.  Studies have shown that the amount of oxygen in the air that we breath today has decreased by as much as 50% compared to the days of our ancestors.  Many of us today are confined to badly ventilated air-conditioned offices for seven or more hours a day and we are assailed by exhaust fumes in heavy traffic.  We don't breathe enough oxygen because of confined environments and exposure to pollutants in the air.  The human body is made up of 60 trillion (60,000,000,000,000) cells and oxygen is vital for them to function properly.  Deprived of oxygen even for just 3 minutes, our cells begin to die.

Oxygen and Cancer
 

Dr. Otto Warburg received the Nobel prize in 1931 for the discovery that unlike all other cells in the human body, cancer cells do not breathe oxygen. Cancer cells cannot survive in the presence of high levels of oxygen . 

There are many different types of successful treatments based on oxygenating the tissues, such as Oxyquest drops and hyperbaric oxygen chambers.. The body is designed to be slightly alkaline at a pH of 7.4.
